What We Do at Silverstream
Whether it be planting, mulching or weeding the Fen area – where long lost (to the reserve) plant species are being found and nurtured. There is a job for everyone, based on your interest.
2021 will be about planting, maintaining our existing plantings and collecting seed from the reserve to propagate under Kevin Belcher’s tutelage.
We are also always looking for people to help us with fundraising, social media and website content production.
How you can help
Donate to Silverstream Reserve
Your support helps to increase biodiversity at the reserve and provide food and homes for our native birds. Your donation will go towards native plants for our yearly planting projects or towards our Predator Control programme.
Volunteer at the Reserve
As a volunteer there is a great variety of jobs that depend on seasonal input – such as planting, mulching, weeding, blackberry and ivy removal, removing plant guards, and having having fun in a beautiful environment.

Control Team
With the guidance of Joan Whillans, we have a successful predator control programme in operation at Silverstream Reserve and we’re always looking for extra volunteers to help with building or checking traps.
